TO ATTEND A TABC APPROVED CLASS
YOU MUST FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Effective February 1, 2018, the TABC has a new way of processing ABC cards.
It is called the Regulatory Licensing and Permitting System (RLPS)
Now, all servers, bartenders and managers must use (RLPS) instead of the paper submission
and going downtown.
Bring your RLPS record number to class. You will be asked to
show it upon arrival.
Also, you must pay the $20.00 server permit when you apply.
YOU CANNOT ATTEND A CLASS IF YOU
DO NOT GET AN RLPS NUMBER BEFORE THE CLASS
The great thing about the new system is that you will receive an email when
your card has been processed. You'll be able to print your card online!
NO MORE GOING DOWNTOWN!
***For the managers; no more begging your staff to go and pick up their card!***
If your establishment has internet access, staff members can log in to the TABC RLPS website
and print their card in the manager's office!
YOU, CURRENTLY, DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR A CLASS
WE ENCOURAGE ALL RESTAURANT OWNERS AND MANAGERS
TO MAKE SURE THAT THEIR STAFF SIGN UP ONLINE BEFORE THEY ATTEND
A CLASS. THE TABC WILL NOT PROCESS THEM IF THEY DO NOT SIGN UP BEFORE THE CLASS!
THE BEST WAY TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE IS TO HAVE YOUR NEW HIRES SIGN UP WITH
WITH THE TABC AND GET AN RLPS RECORD NUMBER AS A PART OF ORIENTATION.
THEY CAN USE THAT NUMBER TO GO TO ANY CLASS, ONCE THEY ACQUIRE IT, AT ANY TIME IN THE FUTURE.
Because of Gov Lee's "Safer in Place" order and the Presidential decree for social distancing until April 30, I am cancelling ALL classes scheduled for April 2020.
